Yet again I've left my uni assignment to the last minute. It's due Tuesday. It's 3:52am on Sunday morning now. I have Sunday and (very little of) Monday to work on it. *crosses fingers* Hopefully will get it done in time!

So apparently I haven't updated my IJ in over two years. I just received an email notification saying that if I didn't (re)active my account it would be deleted. As a result my IJ is newly activated and all that fun stuff.

I suppose I should update here more but I've been on LJ a lot more. LJ is my online home; it always will be. It is the place where I discovered fandom. It's the place where all my online friends are. It's where I vent when I need to or share any shiny I come across.

Nevertheless it would be nice to widen my online horizons and meet new people on IJ in addition to LJ and so on. And so I pose a question. Does anyone here read my entries?

Jayne (my muse) seems to be a little dried up. I think it's the heat. Fried brains and all that. So...I'm thinking of taking myself off fic writing for awhile to refocus. I have plenty of fic to type up in the meantime (and by plenty I mean enough that when you stack it all up in a pile that it measures almost 2cm thick - and that's not counting the half-written bits of fic on the computer!), so I'll post that instead assuming I can be bothered typing. I'm almost tempted to take a break from posting to my LJ for a few weeks and just live off my flist awhile. We'll see...

I bought stamps for about a third of the Christmas cards for you guys today. It was almost $10 just for 12 of the things (most of them being in Australia), so it looks like I'll have to wait a bit longer for the rest. With getting Christmas presents for family in addition to the usual, I'm a little broke right now (until my next lot of Youth Allowance goes in). All the cards are written and sitting right next to me now anyway, so don't worry. You will get a card from me if you gave me your address. Eventually. Sorry for any delays!

Holidays have been relatively boring so far. Every second day or so (the days that I'm not online) is spent sitting around reading or watching dvds on my crappy portable dvd player that always skips (because the normal one has just died). There's the constant feeling of dying from the heat and the dull headaches in the back of my mind that seem to come every summer to deal with.

Aaand then there's family. *rolls eyes* I've been a little short tempered with the heat and that's caused a few arguments. Nothing too serious, but it's so frustrating! I went without lunch yesterday just to prove a point. Stupid, I know, but I just can't cope with the heat, the humidity AND the usual bickering that goes on in this house. Argh. I wish it was winter already!!

Advent-style posts have been very hard to keep up with since I haven't been on as much as I'd like to. This "every second day" rule for the internet sucks. I've missed a few days as well, because apparently I didn't do my jobs. *headdesk* Not fair. BUT, if I don't get all the planned posts done by December 24, I'll just keep going until I do.

Might head off now and work on my dv_exchange fic. *huggles flist*

And oh yeah. 3 hours, 23 minutes until Friends! XD

So...the old TV series are all ending and new ones are coming in. I figured I'd do a quick run-through of what's on...

Friends. I've seen two episodes total so far and I'm hooked. (Yes, that means I've never seen it before now. *nods and hides*)

The Big Bang Theory. Reminds me of Two Guys And A Girl - with a lot of Sam Carter's technobabble thrown in (and multiplied a few times).

Psych. Haven't seen it yet, but I like the idea behind it. Have googled it and checked a few sites.

Six Degrees. Haven't seen it yet either. Looked it up as well, seems pretty cool.

Other series coming back on include: Bones (Yayz!!), Shark (Also cool - it's got Alexis Cruz from SG-1, Danielle Panabaker from Summerland and Sam Page from Point Pleasant), aaaaand yes...that's about it as far as I know. There'll probably be more new series coming on during the next few weeks.

Anyway, Sam/Cam fic and some pics will be up soon. o_O

These are the first icons I've ever made so they're probably not the best things ever. Any hints on how to improve would be great. Anyway, thanks to odakota_rose for introducing me to "PhotoFiltre" (my new bestest friend ;D) and ubiquitous_girl for all the help on msn. *huggles* Some Sam/Cam icons coming later.

Thanks to everyone who filled out the poll in my last post! *huggles* I've decided to go with option a) which came out with over half the votes (and is probably easier for me since I do that sort of thing quite a bit anyway - it'll just be my usual posts doubled).

So...every day up to Christmas that I can get online in December, I will post either a picspam (probably no more than 10 pics per day) or a fic. If you have any preference on fandoms/ships/characters for either of those (I know tyniere hinted at some Sam/Cam and I've been wanting to write more Doggett/Reyes and Elizabeth/Ronon), let me know. No guarantees, but it'd be good to have a few ideas should I strike a wall at some point.
