It is all shiny and cute and green!

Maybe it needs a name? My last car was unofficially called the Precious because it was small and gold and sort of round and I always meant to stencil the Ring Rhyme around it in red one day. It always just got called "My Car" though. Considering it's all environmental and stuff, maybe I'll call this one Clean Air Requires Driving In Style. Oh hey, look, CARD1S isn't taken in vanity plates yet! :D :D

(Nobody take that in the next couple months, okay! I have to get "real" plates, and then I have to wait for the "yay green fuel" plates to come from Richmond, and *then* I can get them done in vanity, and it'll take a while. CARD1S IS MINE, I SAY, MINE! ... maybe I can reserve it somehow.)

So. I today went to the doctor, after leaving work, cause I threw up.

I have a stomach virus that's going around. My doctor, who loathes giving out prescriptions, gave me three. Anti-spasm stomach, anti-nausea, and an anti-biotic.

Bleh.

And the system at work has been down the past couple of days, so while we've gotten returns done fine, we're behind on shipping. We have to ship at least three times dvds than what we normally do tomorrow. And I fear what other, bigger hubs have to ship.

All in all it's a crap week.

First things first: your Anderson Cooper videos: please to be linking me them? Specifically ones where he's angry, upset, pissed off and/or terribly sad at something in the news. Is for fic inspirational purposes. :D

People keep giving me Starbucks receipts! I will not turn down a delicious post-work treat for only $2. Score. -- Hmm, I used to get caramel macchiatos all the time, but I'm not sure I've ever had one iced. Weird.

I dyed my hair again last week! It's that red color that's just enough too red that it's obviously fake. It's cheap temporary stuff, too, and even after a week whenever I take a shower the water runs pink with the blood of my enemies. This would be much more annoying if I still had long hair. Stupid cheap dye. I'd hoped even after it washes out the grey strands would still hold the dye, but I just looked in the mirror and they seem to be fading first. Fail, hair dye. Fail.

.. so, would you guys tease me incessantly if I told you told you I bought a pair of Converse last week? (You would? Awww, that's sweet.) I NEEDED SHOES THAT BREATHE BUT ALSO TIE, AND THAT'S WHAT THEY HAVE AT TARGET BECAUSE NOBODY SELLS KEDS ANYMORE, SHUT UP. I mean *ahem* SQUEE I HAVE SHOES LIKE TEN!!!!111!!10!!! .... WHATEVER, I'M OVER IT.

I want my Prius to get here. Would it be diluting the message too much if I have bumper stickers that say "Obama '08," "Stewart/Colbert '08," and "VOTE SAXON"?

At work today I put a variable called $done_one into my perl script, and it made me happy. :D

I think I have a bug infestation. I have tons of bug bites and I've barely left the apartment. (Mosquito or spider bites, probably.) Arg. Cats, you're supposed to be eating my bugs.

Reviews at Teaspoon: I has dem! Yay! I love that I can see how many people have read stories there. I'll put the Jack story up tonight or tomorrow, once I read it over a few more times.

Indelible</b> by shaenie. A McShep fic that is novel-length.

I just spent the past several hours reading it. And doing nothing else.

I absolutely recommend that if you like SGA, have seen up to season three (or don't care about being spoiled), do not mind McShep, you read it. It's one of the best stories I've ever read. It's utterly indescribably... it exhibits the raw power of a well-told story. It's rich and alive and intense, it's just fantastic. I really wish I had the words to convey how totally awesome it is. Gah.

So yes. Go read that. :D

Little sister is doing pretty well with the chemo and all, but it's not like she's cured or even in remission. So, yeah.
